Kormós
Kormós is a site-responsive series of three unique soundwalks activated by time and location. Created entirely on location for the outdoor exhibition ‘Plásmata: Bodies, Dreams, and Data’ at Pedion tou Areos, featuring the work of Refik Anadol, Marshmallow Laser Feast, Ekene Ijeoma and more, the piece is accessed via a custom platform and immerses participants using binaural environmental recordings, sound design, and original composition. Each walk is based on an individual conversation, recorded in the park, on themes of corporeal experience, physical memory, the sensory world, public and private space, the circularity of recorded time, and the core issues these present and represent.
Presented by the Onassis Foundation, Kormós was created collaboratively by Annie Saunders, Andrew Schneider, Emma O’Halloran and OpenEndedGroup, produced by Octopus Theatricals, and includes the voices of Alexandra Kazazou, Yorgos Karamalegos, and Konstantinos Prepis.
